SALÓ OUT OF THE ARMY OF L'ENSENYAMENT

18 to 22 March 2009.

Several entities linked to the promotion of Peace and Education Campaign have created Desmilitaritzem l'Educació ( http://desmilitaritzem.blog. pangea.org / ) in order to prevent the presence of military institutions and values \u200b\u200bin educational spaces. Under the motto " educate weapons, guns kill "we express our disagreement with the increasing militarization of certain public places. From the conviction that the mission of educational institutions and agents is to promote culture, science and values \u200b\u200bof coexistence and diversity, we believe that military and education are clearly antagonistic concepts.

What hosts transmit educational values \u200b\u200band what are the real interests behind its functions "humanitarian and compassionate" What education for citizenship is promoted from a "culture of defense, backed by the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense?

We wonder if they take all measures consistent with the educational policy values \u200b\u200bof peace and nonviolence of the Catalan government in which the Education for Peace and Coeducació are key elements in educational curricula.
